1A welfare-state researcher. After completing my PhD in the United Kingdom, I brought a comparative welfare-regime lens back to Taiwan and East Asia. My long-standing concerns are pensions, social investment, welfare attitudes, and inequality.
2My work moves between comparative and institutional analysis. I want the prose to be hard and the vision soft — data should be verifiable, yet society always holds one more layer than the model.
3Recent interests run to welfare markets, the financialisation of welfare, and the rise of the regulatory welfare state. I am also asking how social policy should answer to a Taiwan that keeps shrinking, ageing, and growing more unequal.
